Picking the Best Handheld Rototiller

The best handheld rototiller

– Planning to prepare your garden for planting? Rototillers are heavy duty gardening products that help you loosen up your soil, break up clods, and remove weeds. With the use of a powerful rototiller, you no longer need a garden hoe or spade in digging. You can complete the task in minutes especially if you manage a small to medium sized garden.

Save yourself from spending lots of effort in tackling the most tedious gardening task by choosing the best handheld rototiller. The right rototiller should be able to help you complete tilling fast according to the size of your lawn. Also consider your overall strength and the rototiller’s power capacity and source.

Below are reviews of the finest handheld rototillers today. I have also included two manual handheld rototillers, lightweight tillers for those who manage small gardens. Earlier, I reviewed some other tillers you might want to have a look at here. But for now…

Yard Butler RC-3 Garden Cultivator

Special Bladed Wheels with Powerful Action

When using this 36-inch tiller, you’ll be able to effectively break up clods and take out pesky weeds because it has sharp, bladed wheels that work like scissors. This easily loosens up soil so you can complete your tilling task in less time. The blades can also be detached if you want to tackle very narrow spaces than cannot be reached by other garden tools.

Adjustable Handle with Rubber Grip

You can adjust the length of this manual tiller depending on your height. Doing this will help you avoid straining your back from constant bending. The rubber grip at the top end of the handle will help prevent slipping even when used with wet or moist hands. It also has a nice pin at the top so you can hang it in your storage when not used.

Conclusion

If you want a really heavy duty rototiller, the Husqvarna gas-powered tiller should be your top choice. However, this rototiller can be heavy and not suitable for women. That also goes for the Southland rototiller. My personal choice is the Sun Joe electric rototiller. Not only is it lightweight, it requires no maintenance and tills well. Just remember that the Sun Joe is ideally used for small to medium-sized lawns. Lastly, the manual Yard Butler G-TILL and the Yard Butler RC-3 tillers are for those who manage small garden beds and can do without huge rototillers.
